Shaun K Syphus, PA-C

I was born and raised in Mesquite, Nevada, and St. George, Utah. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Utah Tech University in 2015, where I graduated with high honors. Prior to that time, I spent two years serving in the San Bernardino, California mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I received my Master’s of Physician Studies degree from Rocky Mountain University in 2023, where I graduated with top marks. Now residing in Utah County, I feel fortunate to be part of the Utah Valley Dermatology team, and is passionate about providing patients with the knowledge and care they need to have healthy skin and bodies. 

I met my wife, Katie, in St. George Utah in the local university’s music program. We bonded over our love for music, but even more so over our love for food. I love to cook and one of my favorite pastimes is cooking for family and friends. I have catered weddings as well as private events. I also have a passion for home design.

We have three children who are as wonderful as they are exhausting. They especially love cooking with me and playing games together. 

I love being with my family most of all, and love living in an area that allows for endless amounts of family fun, whether it’s going for a hike, or having a family outing at the local dollar theater.  My idea of a perfect weekend night is hanging out with my wife, eating good food and binge watching home renovation shows.
